Leslie Smith, Chair
Leslie Smith joined LIFT in October 2024 and currently serves as Board Chair, bringing a deep passion for service and community advocacy to the organization’s mission.
A Professional Clinical Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in Organizational Behavior Management, Trauma Informed Practices, and Applied Behavior Analysis, Leslie has dedicated her career to supporting children and adults with disabilities who face significant behavioral challenges. Her professional journey began as a special education teacher, where she developed expertise in child and family development and a strong commitment to empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
Beyond her professional work, Leslie volunteers with the Pinellas County Sixth Judicial Circuit Courts as a Guardian ad Litem for children experiencing abuse or neglect and serves as an Educational Surrogate for children in dependency court for Pinellas County Schools.
Leslie is inspired by LIFT’s mission to increase access to programs, services, and housing — ensuring that every member of the community has the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, and stability. Her leadership reflects a belief that meaningful change begins when the city and the community come together in compassion and action.
