Treasure Island Strong and The Holidays

A message from Chair, Leslie Smith:

Our Treasure Island community is strong and getting stronger. Many are still recovering from the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. There are countless stories of neighbors coming together to lend a hand and help each other out during the hardest storms to hit in one hundred years. It is heartwarming to belong to a community that cares deeply about others.

While the holidays are a joyful time for many, it can also be stressful, sad and difficult for members of our community who are troubled, experiencing grief, loss or financial difficulties.

The Life Intervention Focus Team (LIFT) is here to help our community. Please reach out to us if you know of a neighbor who is struggling. We are here to provide resources and assistance.

  • Care for our Seniors

  • Help with Substance Abuse Treatment

  • Care for community members with Social Services or Mental Health Resources

  • Referrals to Shelters and Unhoused Prevention

Please consider volunteering or donating to help our community thrive.

Happy holidays and happy healthy new year to all!

Leslie Smith, Chair of the LIFT Board
